Sing

Have you ever sat in your room and just sang. It doesn't matter if your voice sounds as great as Anna's or like a dying donkey. Singing is something like nothing else. And in my opinion, the louder the better. Use your voice to bring glory to God. And worship Him in spirit and truth. Just sing. Don't worry about anyone seeing you. And don't focus on sing perfectly, but on bringing glory to God. Sing from memory instead of with music. Sing.

This might seem weird to all of you and that's because it is. But when you became a Christian you didn't sign up to be normal. So go try it. Sing.

"He is the same."

"God doesn't do comebacks.
God doesn't do do-overs.
God doesn't do, 'Oops.'
God doesn't do, 'Let me try that again.'
Let's come at this again, He is perfect.
He is the same."

Magnificent

Magnificent, You alone are holy
No one else as glorious as You
Magnificent, Jesus You are worthy
Who can shine as brightly as You do?
Magnificent
You're so magnificent

Prayer

Please pray for:

  1. Jacob Martin - Cancer
  2. Your parents - as the leaders of your life you need to pray for and respect your parents. They've given their life for you. Pray for them!
  3. Any leaders in your life - they give their time, money, and resources to invest something in you. To see that you grow up properly, whether spiritually, physically, or mannerly. Pray the blessing of God into their lives.
I feel like we've fallen away from keeping each other aware of needs. Please continue posting prayer requests, thank you.

This makes me giggle with glee.

" O LORD, in Your strength the king will be glad,
And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!
You have given him his heart’s desire,
And You have not withheld the request of his lips.
                                    Selah."

Love, Marrage and Valentine's Day (Part 2 [love the emotion])

(Clarification of earlier post.)
Love is something that we are all blessed with experiencing. And it's something we can give as well. Love is an emotion, but really it's not just that. Love is an action too. In you when you want to prove the emotion and feeling you hold inside, you take action and live that love. Every day you make a choice to love and to prove what's inside.

But sometimes emotions can be betraying. In my life I have seen that if you let your emotions run you than your bound to make the wrong choice. When your run by your emotions, your reckless and are run by what you feel in the moment. This is not to say that emotions are bad, but to say that if you let them lead you then your bound for tumult.

So when we have emotions that we feel toward someone, we have to take that before God and ask Him about it. God won't leave you hanging. But look to God for the answer and then decide if that emotion is love or lust.

And when it comes to loving someone and knowing that he/she is who God has for you, yes you have an emotion of love toward them, but you can't fully express that unless you live it. Just as it is with Christianity, our faith is proven by the lives we live.

So yes love is an emotion, but it can't be fully proved with out action.
Sorry for the mistake in my statement, I hope this clears it up.
God bless.

Love, Marrage and Valentine's Day

Hello all!
As you all well know, today is Valentine's day. For some this is a day for giving flowers to a girlfriend. For others, it's taking out their wife. For hallmark it's a made up holiday to sell cards. For me it's a day to think of the future.

As most of you know, I have a strict policy. I won't get into a deep relationship with someone if God doesn't tell me to. I believe that when it comes to getting married, God will choose a wife for me. What that doesn't mean is that I won't like my wife. Not at all. If I let God choose, my wife will me perfect for me. God knows my heart and everything in me. And God is a good God and as a Father wants to make his children happy, God also wants to make us happy.

So with that said, I'm leaving the choice of my wife to God to choose, because if I chose, I'd probably screw it up.
With all that said I want to talk to you about love. In this culture there is a completely messed up and polluted view of what love is. Love isn't an emotion or a feeling. It's not something that you feel, it's something you do. It's a life style you live. In 1 Corinthians it says,

"
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

So love isn't what we as a generation have come to see it as. True love is something we hardly ever see. Love is a choice you make ever day. And with your relationship it comes down to wither you love yourself or him. And it's the same with a man and a woman in a relationship. You have the choice to favor your self or you can choose to love the other and care for them.

So when it comes time that you have someone in your life that you care about more than the others and God has lead you to them, will you love them more than your self? And you can say yes now, but the true answer is shown ever day when you have the choice to choose you or them. As with so many thing,
it all comes down to a choice.

So as you go about your day today, pray and ask God to lead you to the one that He has for you. And when you do so, put aside your emotions or your attractions to people and ask God no matter what the answer who He has for you in your time to come.
And I'll leave you with this,

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Have a great day. And God bless.

Keep me Near by Rend Collective Edition

Jesus keep me near to Your heart
For outside of You I'm lost
Draw me in the tide of Your will
Lead me as I yield myself to You
Keep me near Your heart
Keep me near Your heart

Rescue me in weakness of mind
When distraction conquers me
Keep me in Your shadow oh Lord
Give me grace to follow where You lead
Keep me near Your heart
Keep me near Your heart

For You are everything that is beautiful
And You are all that I long to see in me
You are everything that is beautiful
Breathe Your desires in me

Keep me in the place where You are
For Your presence is my joy
Break my selfish nature and pride
Mould a life of loyalty to You
Keep me near Your heart
Keep me near Your heart

Form in us a heart of divine beauty

1 John 1

1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 These things we write, so that our joy may be made complete. 5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; 7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

Matthew 14:31

31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
