First thorny trial

First mumbled word

First denial

His call to you

His outstretched hands

Your selfish thoughts

Your foolish plans

Choices you’re given

Choices you’ve made

The life you lived

The price you paid

You’ve wasted your days

You’ve nothing to give

Through Christ you’re redeemed

Though Him you will live

Last hour on earth

Last rugged hill

Last chance to repent

Surrender!-“I will!”

Saved by God’s grace

Saved through His gift

No longer enslaved

No burden to lift
